This regulation establishes mandatory accessibility requirements for a wide range of <strong>digital products and services<\/strong>, with the aim of removing barriers and ensuring equal access for people with disabilities throughout the European Union.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>What does Law 11\/2023 regulate?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The law applies to products and services such as:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>ATMs and self-service terminals<\/li>\n<li>Consumer banking services<\/li>\n<li>E-commerce<\/li>\n<li>E-books and their dedicated software<\/li>\n<li>Passenger transport services<\/li>\n<li>Electronic communication services, including emergency services<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It also requires <strong>information be accessible<\/strong> through multiple sensory channels (visual, auditory, and tactile), and <strong>user interfaces be understandable and usable<\/strong> by all people, regardless of their abilities.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Deadlines for implementation:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><strong>28 June 2025<\/strong>: all new products and services concerned shall\u00a0 comply with the accessibility requirements.<\/li>\n<li><strong>28 June 2030<\/strong>: deadline for adapting existing products and services by 28 June 2025.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Contracts signed before 28 June 2025 can be maintained for up to five years, provided they are not substantially modified.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Regulatory and economic risk<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"TextRun SCXW201105442 BCX8\" lang=\"EN-GB\" xml:lang=\"EN-GB\" data-contrast=\"auto\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW201105442 BCX8\">Lack of compliance can lead to sanctions, product recalls or urgent changes that divert budgets and compromise strategy.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><strong>Reputational damage<\/strong>: a<span class=\"TextRun SCXW65363774 BCX8\" lang=\"EN-GB\" xml:lang=\"EN-GB\" data-contrast=\"auto\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW65363774 BCX8\">ccessibility is a key indicator of social responsibility.
